In order to prove THT-EX LED lightings can be used in high temperature environments, we have done lots of heat-resistant tests to products, such as: steaming test, boiling test, baking test or exposure under the hot sun. And this time we boiled the LED light source directly to see if it’s resistant to heat and water without the protection of mechanism enclosure. The following picture is the field installation of Explosion-proof LED High Bay Light-Model L1217 in a feed mill. We use explosion-proof LED light with 120W power wattage to replace 400W conventional lamp.  Replacing the old HID / HPS lamps to LED is a trend now! We tested a 160W high bay lighting in a 100°C(212°F) oven to check its’ heat resistance function in the high-temperature environment. Both TC temp. and IC temp. were recorded at the same time to show the actual temperature inside the lighting and we found that the temp. are as high as 134°C and 153°C respectively. In such a high temperature and harsh environment, this lighting can still provide excellent illumination!
