Heat Resistant Lighting Application in Over 80°C High Temperature Baking Area

The photos below are the application of THT’s heat-resistant lights . The installation environment is a dried shredded squid baking room with over 80°C high ambient temperature. The customer used general lighting in the past, but due to long-time exposed to a high-temperature environment the lighting’s components frequently melt and malfunction, so asked us to assist in lighting planning. We recommend our heat-resistant lightings that can withstand 85°C ~100°C high temperature , model L1102 (60W) and L1319C (60W). Case Sharing – Heat Resistant Lighting Application in Aluminum Smelter

Aluminum smelter is a high-temperature working area with ambient temperature of around 65°C, and it reaches 85°C during aluminum smelting. In the past, our client used 250W general lights, but due to frequent failures, they switched to THT-EX heat-resistant LED lights . AC-IN LED technology doesn’t have the driver failure issue, and our lightings come with an excellent heat-dissipation housing design, so it can provide a longer lifetime! Only 100W LED light can provide the same illumination as 250W general light, which greatly saves electricity costs. COB LED Light Source Passed 100°C Heat Resistant Test!

In order to prove THT-EX LED lightings can be used in high temperature environments, we have done lots of heat-resistant tests to products, such as: steaming test, boiling test, baking test or exposure under the hot sun. And this time we boiled the LED light source directly to see if it’s resistant to heat and water without the protection of mechanism enclosure. 160W LED High Bay Light_100°C Heat Resistant Test

We tested a 160W high bay lighting in a 100°C(212°F) oven to check its’ heat resistance function in the high-temperature environment. Both TC temp. and IC temp. were recorded at the same time to show the actual temperature inside the lighting and we found that the temp. are as high as 134°C and 153°C respectively. In such a high temperature and harsh environment, this lighting can still provide excellent illumination! High Temperature 100°C (212°F) Boiling Test for 300W Hazardous Location LED Lighting!

The harsh environments, include high heat and high humidity, have always been big challenges to the performance and lifetime of lighting fixtures. Recently, we tested our newly launched high-power lighting in a high-temperature environment to verify its’ quality. The testing was conducted in a wide & empty place on a mountain to ensure the safety of staff. When the 300 wattage lighting illuminates, it’ll generate higher heat energy. We put it in 100°C boiling water for more than 12 hours and found that the lighting wasn’t affected by the heat. The heat energy didn’t cause the lighting to fail and still provide excellent illumination!
